Resumes are personal. This page says what Resume Factory (run by the person who runs Resume Factory) collects, who it is shared with, and how you can remove it.
What we keep
- Your account: your email address and sign-in details.
- What you give the assistant: your messages, job postings, the files you upload, and the resumes it makes. From your conversations the assistant builds a record of your work history, skills, and preferences so you don't have to repeat yourself. You can ask the assistant to change or forget anything in it.
- Your applications: the jobs you track, their status, and the postings you saved.
- Usage: how much of the assistant you have used, so we can apply plan limits.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We keep whether you have a plan and when it renews; we never see or store your full card number.
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your display settings. We don't run advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't sell your information.
Who it is shared with
We use these services to run Resume Factory, and they handle your information only for that purpose:
- Anthropic (the AI provider): your messages, profile, job postings, and uploaded files are sent to it so the assistant can reply. Under its terms for business customers, content sent this way is not used to train its models; it may be kept for a limited time for safety and abuse prevention. - Supabase: the database, sign-in, and file storage.
- Vercel: hosts the website.
- Railway: turns your resume into a PDF. The resume text passes through it but isn't kept there.
- Stripe: takes payments.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your information while you have an account. On the Account page you can delete your account: that permanently removes your profile, resumes, applications, chats, and uploaded files, and cancels your plan. Backups kept by our providers are overwritten over time. Stripe keeps records of payments as tax and financial law requires.
Security
Each person's data is separated from everyone else's in the database, files are private, and connections are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't put anything in a resume or chat that you wouldn't want a service like this to hold.
Your choices and contact
You can download a copy of your information from the Account page at any time, correct it by telling the assistant, and delete it by deleting your account. You can also contact us for help. We may update this policy and will say so in the app or by email if the change is significant.
