Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and the person who runs Resume Factory (“we”) about your use of Resume Factory. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
What Resume Factory is
Resume Factory is a web app where you chat with an AI assistant to build resumes, tailor them to job postings, and track your applications. You must be at least 16 years old to use it.
The assistant can be wrong
The assistant is an AI. It can make mistakes, misread a document, or word something badly. You are responsible for reading every resume before you send it to anyone and for making sure that everything on it is true. We don't promise any particular result, such as an interview or a job.
Your account
Keep your sign-in secure and give us accurate details. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Don't use the service to break the law, to put false information on resumes, to attack or overload the service, to try to get around its limits, or to use it for anything other than your own job search and resumes.
Your content
What you give the service (your resume, messages, job postings, uploaded files) stays yours. You let us store and process it, and send it to the providers listed in the privacy policy, only so we can run the service for you. Resumes the assistant creates for you are yours to use however you like.
Free trial and paid plan
- New accounts may get a one-time free trial. It is a fixed amount of use and doesn't renew.
- The paid plan costs $14.99 a month, charged when you subscribe and then every month until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe. Taxes may be added.
- The plan includes a monthly usage limit, set high enough for a normal job search. If you reach it, you can keep using the rest of the app but not the assistant until it renews on the 1st of the month.
- You can cancel any time from your Account page. Cancelling stops future charges; see the refund policy.
- We may change prices or plans. We'll tell you before a change affects what you pay, and you can cancel before it does.
Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. That permanently removes your data and cancels your plan. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or abuses the service.
No warranty, and limits on our responsibility
The service is provided “as is”, and we don't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as a missed job), and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we'll notify you in the app or by email; continuing to use the service after that means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where we are based.
